COVID Policy
Our COVID policies as of February 6, 2024:
-
Masks will be optional. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask is encouraged to do so.
-
Members with minor symptoms* from a non-Covid ailment or who are a known close contact** to a COVID case may attend Wednesday rehearsals as long as they have a negative COVID test, wear a mask, and sit away from the group.”
-
Singers with minor symptoms who have tested negative for COVID can stand among the group and sing masked in dress rehearsals and concerts.
-
Members infected with Covid-19:
-
After being infected with Covid-19, you must stay away from rehearsals or performances for at least 5 days. If, after 5 days, you are asymptomatic and have been fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicine for at least 24 hours, you may return, remaining masked and sitting at the back of the room.
-
After day 10 of your infection, you may return to rehearsal and sing. You must wear a mask until you have a negative rapid antigen test.
-
We ask that you not partake of snacks at break until you have a negative test.
-
-
We will not have a COVID committee at this time.
-
Refreshments will be available during rehearsal breaks.
* "Minor symptoms” means no fever, no coughing, and no sneezing that’s unrelated to an allergy or other chronic condition.
** A close contact is someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.
The Board will do ongoing monitoring of Massachusetts wastewater trends and hospitalization data and will update guidance accordingly. We will reevaluate policies at least every three months.
