Fern Hill/No Dream Required

Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lexington

Fern Hill/No Dream Required

This project is supported in part by an Alfred Nash Patterson Grant from Choral Arts New England and with additional support from an anonymous donor.

We close our season by looking to the past and future. John Corigliano’s setting of the Dylan Thomas poem Fern Hill is an adult’s nostalgic look back at an idealized childhood. No Dream Required, a hopeful look forward from our troubled present,  is a new work by local composer Michael Weinstein and Lexington poet Cliff Blake. The program also includes music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and  Christopher Harris.
