Pilgrim Church in Lexington
English and American Part-songs
Our celebration of English and American choral traditions includes Stanford’s stunningly beautiful The Blue Bird, the Three Elizabethan Part-songs of Vaughan Williams (in recognition of his 150th birthday), two small 20th century masterpieces by Elliott Carter, as well as works by Benjamin Britten and Peter Warlock. The concert will also include the first performance of Pamela Marshall's Partners, a setting of poems by the late Sarah Getty, chorus member and cherished friend.
